sábado após um jantar com os rapazes cá em casa comemorando mais um e tendo em conta o tempo que estava lá fora acabámos por ficar a ver filmes
depois de vermos o "chant d'amour" do genet que já tinha comprado há tempos e ainda não tinha tirado do plástico, decidimos tentar ver algo mais alegre
acabámos por ver o "polyester" do john waters com a divina divine e o belíssimo (ainda hoje) tab hunter
isso fez-me relembrar a auto-biografia do tab que li há dois verões e a história da sua vida, desde quando foi um dos últimos "cavalos dos estábulos" do star system de hollywood perfeitamente loiro e de olhos azuis em finais de 50's até actualmente viver feliz a criar os seus (verdadeiros) cavalos

saturday after a dinner with the boys here at home celebrating one more, and as the weather outside wasn't the best, we decide to stay and see movies
after seeing chant d'amour do genet, that was bought a few time ago but was still wrapped we decide to see something a little more uplifting
we ended with john waters's "polyester" with divine divine and (still today) handsome tab hunter
that made me recall his auto biography that i've read the other summer and his life story, from beeing one of the late 50's perfect blond blue-eyed last "horses from the stables" of hollywood star system to actually now living happily creating his own (real) horses

ontem, domingo, tal como todos os outros, fui ver o milk
sala cheia, até o primeiro lá estava à frente
e por muito que se diga que é o van sant a fazer cinema comercial e vénias ao "sistema", o filme é bom (poderá não ser genial ou uma obra-prima), o cruzamento entre as imagens reais e as actuais dão-lhe um toque documental necessário numa obra para todos os efeitos com pendor político e de intervenção, o penn é genial, o franco de cair, as interpretações perfeitas, as suaves introduções musicais escolhidas a dedo, etc, etc
e sim, principalmente toca onde deve tocar, a meio apeteceu-me atirar um sapato à fila da frente pelo chumbo da lei do casamento, e sair para a rua lutar

yesterday, sunday, like all the others, i've gone to see milk
full room, even the prime-minister was there in the front
and even with all the critics saying that it is van sant doing commercial pictures and bending to the "system", the movie is good, the mix of real and actual footage gives it a documentary edge necessary to a work as political and of intervention as it was meant, penn is genius, franco is to die for, the interpretations perfect, the mild music score wisely chose, etc, etc
and yes, it touch where it should touch, in the middle of it i've got the impulse to throw a shoe to the front row for the failure of the marriage law proposal, and get out to the street and shout

este sábado revi o je t'aime moi non plus, e continua lindo o filme ao fim destes anos todos
e linda a jane e o joe e o náná, até o gerard era lindo
depois de procurar pelos youtubos e quejandos só aqui consegui um pedaço da mais bela cena do filme, krassky e johnny flutuando no pneu na lagoa da pedreira (embora suavemente censurado)
para ouvir a música com melhor qualidade do que a versão orquestrada que acompanha este tributevideo feito por polichinelaazul é procurar a versão original cantada por serge e jane já postada aqui há uns tempos

6 antigos vidros de candeeiro (2 brancos, 2 azuis, 1 verde e 1 âmbar) + 6 casquilhos de latão e porcelana + uns metros de fio eléctrico transparente + 6 lâmpadas fininhas + 1 peça de suspensão do ikea devidamente furada = 1 presente de aniversário para o z'lu

this time was:
6 old lamp glasses (2 white, 2 blue, 1 green e 1 yellow) + 6 brass and porcelain socket + some meters of transparent electric wire + 6 thin lamps + 1 suspension kit from ikea with new holes = 1 anniversary present for z'lu

como de costume, perto de casa mas...
lia o que se passava no mundo do design gráfico na revista eye quando dei com a notícia da intervenção dos R2 na ermida de nossa senhora da conceiçao aqui em belém (agora uma galeria de arte)
corri lá e felizmente ainda lá estava, ainda por cima num dos meus locais favoritos, os sossegados becos e travessas entalados entre o buliço de belém e o silêncio dos jardins do palácio
